Alec Bradley Post Embargo Robusto Criollo '98 (5" x 52) is a Cuban contender boasting a medium-to-full bodied blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan long fillers, and a double-binder also from Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigar is topped with a spicy Honduran wrapper that will be hard to turn this cigar down. Alan Rubin, known for his countless 90+ rated cigars might have out-done himself with these box pressed cigars.
I would say overall I'm happy with the Alec Bradley Brand. I enjoy the Maxx and the Lost Art Prensado is one of my favorite cigars, but this cigar was pretty bad. I received it in a bonus item sampler I received from TC after ordering a box of AB. I put them to rest in my humidor and I recently pulled one out to give it a try. I only made it about a quarter of the way through the cigar before I retired it. The other one I have will go to the "handout" shelf in my humidor, along with the AB Tempus. I'm not a cigar aficionado by any means, it just taste bad to me. It had one flavor... burnt, I couldn't taste anything else and I found the aroma to be off putting as well. It's a no-go for me.
