The Alec Bradley Retreat Toro Rosado (6" x 54) is a fantastic medium to full-bodied cigar carefully aged and selected by Alan Rubin, made with a Rosado wrapper which gives a rich and smooth flavor. The Retreat is filled with the perfect blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Mexican filler, together with a genuine Nicaraguan Viso Habano binder which gives a terrific enjoyment. Such a great cigar needs to be complemented with an even better drink such as single malt scotch or an old fashion bourbon to go along with its amazing taste.

This is a good smoke regardless of the price and it is not expensive to start with. A good daily smoke after dinner.

Hard to beef about any Alec Bradley product, but Retreat is not my favorite. It's a good, flavorful mild/medium smoke, but is so loosely packed that it borders on being mushy. As a result it burns quickly, although it manages to stay cool throughout the burn. At the price, it is a bit difficult for me to fully recommend. However, it is good enough to purchase on a discount or some other offer. 89/100

As for flavor, on a scale from one to ten, I would rate the flavor at four!

The taste & flavor is not what I'm looking for. It's a good cigar for the price. Give them out as gifts.

Received this in a sampler, & after smoking it, glad that it wasn't a box purchase. Very mild smoke...found it to lack much flavor at all. Burned evenly throughout the first half...a little off in the second, but it corrected itself. I'm going to follow another reviewers recommendation of letting this one age a little while in the humidor before I completely write it off (mind you, it's been in there for about a month already). I'll get back with you after Christmas.

A well made smoke with a smooth mellow flavor, burned slow and held a firm ash.

This is my favorite cigar of 2008. This is an excellent medium to full-bodied cigar that any level of smoker can enjoy. The perfect Rosado wrapper smokes like a $10 cigar. I could hand these out to anyone and be assured they will get a great smoke.

A.B. Retreat is a good cigar if the following is done: Let them age at least two months in a humidor along with your other cigars to allow them to to taake on some additional flavor. Not the greatest right out of the package, but not bad either. Good slow smoke that is better with age. A good smoke for the money. Puff-on!!
