CAO Flathead V770 Big Block Super Gordo Maduro (7" x 70) is a mammoth among cigars with its monster size and bold flavor from its full body smoke and delicious dark hickory Maduro wrapper. Hand-shaped to deliver a striking flat top, the cigar features a blend that's heavy on Nicaraguan leaf, Big Block is named for an engine, but the tribute to muscle cars doesn't end there. The gorgeous Flathead box gives a nod to muscle cars as well, with a lid that's easily removed and used as wall art. There's also a collectible, pin-up girl flysheet enclosed in the box. Enjoy this damn near perfect masterpiece as an evening dessert or after a long day at work, and finish it with a delicious old-fashioned bourbon.

Mine burned uneven. I was expecting a full flavor, strong smoking cigar. Hard to draw, and was disappointed in the flavor. Before lighting I took some unlit draws to try the flavor and it was a little sweet. I was very excited. Once I lit the 770 though I was strongly disappointed. So disappointed in fact that I went back to the store and got a different cigar.

It was pretty much what I expected from a medium full smoke, and was similar to others in this series. But I found the box pressed shape, in this ring size, a bit awkward. It didn't fit well in my mouth. For me, in this ring size round is preferrable.

I was intrigued by the size of this giant when I visited my cigar shop looking for something that would last a while. I was reluctant as I found that most big ring cigars don't burn well and I often end up disappointed. Boy, was I surprised with this guy! Flawless construction, great flavored, easy draw, plumes of thick smoke... Consistent till the very end. I returned to the cigar shop the next day and bought another one. Same thing. I just smoked another today and i guess three times is a charm... I just ordered a box! Highly recommended if you have the time to smoke it. Takes about two hours. Two hours of bliss.
