After spending about a decade working for Drew Estate, Nick Melillo learned what it takes to make a premium cigar. Now, he's ventured off on his own creating the Charter Oak Grande Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro (6" x 60). Nicaraguan fillers and binders from Esteli and Jalapa are hand-rolled with a beautiful and dark Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper which adds some sweetness to the blend. This cigar is a medium-bodied stunner.

The charter oak is almost as good as the Tabernacle. I consider the Tabernacle the greatest cigar ever made. For my everyday cigar I can't afford the tabernacle but the charter oak take the spot. Rich, creamy, chocolate, and coffee. I can't complain. I also favor any Fountation brand stick.
