Undercrown Shade Gran Toro (6" x 52) is a perfectly balanced, medium-body smoke from the cigar gods of Drew Estate. Master blender Willy Herrera blends Nicaraguan Criollo and corojo, and Dominican criollo '98 long fillers along with Sumatra binder and light-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Drew Estate is making it really hard to pick which of their cigars is our favorite with hits like this Drew Estate Undercrown Shade.

The Undercrown line extension shows consistent quality and flavors. This mild to medium bodied cigar goes great with bourbon, coffee, mineral water, and ice cream. Try it with butter pecan.

The UC Shade is a great cigar, well constructed and has a nice draw. It has a very consistent draw and burn overall. Pairs extremely well with a morning coffee, especially if you like a darker wrapper as standard as this one is so light! I prefer the UC Sun Grown or Maduro, however, this is a great stick for those who enjoy a lighter smoke.

When I visited the Drew Estate factory in Nicaragua, I noticed that he had shifted production on many sections of the floor to produce this cigar and now I know why. A great smoke at any time of the day, but a nice breakfast cigar as well to start the day.
