La Flor Dominicana's first blend, an oily black wrapper over a beautifully made perfecto with excellent proportion. It draws effortlessly, with a toasty aroma. It's warm and nutty with a hint of allspice. Not a cigar for the novice but made to order for demanding smokers who ask more of a cigar than a pleasant diversion for 45 minutes. La Flor Dominicana is truly a memorable cigar.
A friend of mine first dropped this little smoke on me. I didn't think much of it because of the oddball shape, so it sat in my humidor for a few weeks. A chance then came up for me to light up this little wonder. The light was easy and the draw was about as perfect as I could wish for. It was a little peppery at first, but settled down and was just a nice cigar to sit by the pool and enjoy. The burn was solid and I did not have to retouch it at all. And though this is not a big cigar by any means, it was a good 45 minute smoke and was enjoyable all the way through.
