The Padron 1964 Anniversary Series line was unveiled in 1994 to celebrate Padron’s 30th anniversary. Only fine tobacco aged for a minimum of four years was selected, creating a smooth and complex flavor. As a salute to the age-old Cuban tradition of box-pressing cigars, the 1964 Anniversary line was introduced as a box-pressed series. Available in Maduro wrappers, size 6"x 42.
This is probably one of the best cigars on the market. It's pricey for a reason, but Thompson Cigar's had the best deal with the fastest delivery. The cigar has 3 distinct transition: a little peppery the first 1/3, mellow with cocoa and mild leather the second 1/3, the finishing with a medium to full body Nicaraguan the last. The filler, binder and wrapper are aged 5 years before box pressed makes this an attractive gift and special occasion smoke.
