The Padron Cigars 1926 Serie # 9 Natural Toro (5 1/2" x 56) is a premium, award winning cigar that received a fantastic rating of 94 from Cigar Aficionado. Given that the Padron 1926 Serie line of cigars was named Cigar Aficionado’s 2007 Cigar of the Year, you can bet that this is one heck of a premium smoke! The top shelf flavors displayed by this line comes from a specific process that uses select tobaccos aged for five, long years. Once that choice tobacco is ready, it gets blended to make a cigar that expresses everything you could hope for in a fine cigar; complex and full-bodied flavors that are also incredibly smooth and balanced. A select natural wrapper puts a final premium touch on this excellent cigar. Each of these fine five and a quarter inch, 56 ring gauge cigars are box pressed and given a double band that shows a guarantee label with a number for each individual cigar. Keep these Padrons around for the best of occasions.

This is my favorite non Cuban cigar in the world. Although fairly strong, it’s not overpowering. Flavor is superb. Beautifully constructed easy draw and perfect burn every time. My go to weekend smoke....a pleasure to smoke!

The reviews are spot on. Great cigar. The aroma is about the best I've had the pleasure of smoking (Oliva, Davidoff). Everything choice from chocolate, leather, and pleasant cedar all intertwined. The draw is a breeze. It will burn out a few times, but let it, ash it, and then relight. If you over puff to keep it lit it will turn bitter. While it's nice to smoke something that you don't have to light again the payoff of flavor on this one is worth the maintenance. I would recommend.

I was apprehensive about this cigar--I was afraid it might be too much stick for me. My fears were groundless: although a fuller-bodied smoke, the 1926 #9 is every inch a Padron--powerful, yet smooth and approachable. Like all Padrons, the draw is flawless, as easy a cigar to smoke as I have encountered. It contains the familiar flavor profile of a Padron : earthiness, an alluring spiciness, even a hint of sweet tobacco. It burned beautifully, imparting a wonderful aroma and copious amounts of smoke. I truly believe that, although there are many fine cigars out there, there is only one Padron, and this 1926 #9 is a exemplary product from the royal family of cigar makers/

I have smoked the 1926 #6, Family Reserve Maduro 45 and the Anniversario maduro robusto. When I ordered these, I wanted to compare the natural and maduro. The maduro is an excellent smoke but I think I prefer the natural. It's smooth, creamy and has slight sweet after taste. After smoking one, I ordered ten more! I can't say enough of Padron. I will continue to smoke these and they will continue to be my favorite until...well, I don't know.

The first time I tried this cigar was at a cigar lounge in San Diego's Gaslamp District with a Crown Royal on the Rocks. I have been hooked ever since. I measure every cigar by this one. The closest I have come is Alec Bradley Vice Press.

Have had these on my back porch with cheap rye and at the baccarat bar at the Bellagio in Vegas with 20 yr old bourbon and man, they were outstanding both ways. This cigar is the you know what, far superior to anything else I've tried. Usually top rated things disappoint a little. Not this. You have to try them. Rich, warm, powerful, complex, perfectly constructed, ideal draw, etc. If you've tried the 1964 Anniversary, which is also a great cigar, and maybe my second favorite, the 26 is quite different: warmer and more complex. I prefer the 64 in a maduro but the 26 filling is so great it's better on its own with a natural wrapper. Ideal gift: anybody not brain dead will love the 26, even a novice smoker, while the 64s take a little cigar experience to shine.

Accustomed to spending $4-$5 for good cigars & decided to treat myself -- it was well worth it. I will keep a couple in the humidor for special occasions.
