Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be a true aficionado and enjoy a phenomenal cigar with a perfectly aged single malt scotch? Well here is your chance, introducing the medium to full bodied masterpiece of a cigar, the Perdomo Reserve Champagne Noir Super Toro Maduro (6" x 60). This fantastic cigar is surrounded by a rich, triple-fermented Cuban-seed Maduro wrapper that's been aged for 14 months, and then aged an additional 6 months in oak bourbon barrels. According to Nick Perdomo, Jr., “The process helps to ensure parallel colors, a clean and even burn, and rich complex flavors”. This is quite the Nicaraguan puro to get those hands on!
This is a great reasonably-priced stick. It's a beauty from the get-go: perfectly constructed and consistent from one to another. This has a unique flavor which is significantly different from any other cigar: strong but smooth with a hint of something unusual. Gets gradually stronger as you go. It almosts tastes like it's gently infused with something, likely because of the bourbon-barrel aging. I'm not one of those who can say with any confidence something like "hints of toasted almond and anise with a catnip finish." Try one and it's likely to end up on your short list.
