I bought this for fire pit use and it does great. The neck is long enough to reach combustible materials without burning yourself and short enough to make a solid flame.

Really cool lighter. First impression was - Wow, this is huge! You could use this to light your BBQ and fireplace, Works well. Had to figure out the flame lock because the instructions didn't mention that.
